Special achievements

Throughout the year we will add in any special achievements by pupils.

November 2016. The academy was awarded a framed certificate from the Royal British legion for charity fundraising. This was followed by a regional Youth award in April 2017. 

December 2017. The academy was awarded AFA funding through the National lottery for a sports coach to benefit pupils and the community for 12 months. 

January 2017. The choir took part in the Young Voices concert at the O2 arena.

May 2017. Maths challenge. The Year 5 team won their heat held at Alconbury Primary, beating 10 others teams and gaining an automatic place in the final, to be held in June at Duxford.  

November 2017. The Academy was awarded a second framed certificate from the Royal British Legion for charity fundraising . 

December 2017. The choir were invited to join Wyton Band perform at their annual Christmas concert.

December 2017. The Year 6 English team participated in the final of the Cambridgeshire English challenge ay Ely Cathedral, after coming second in their heat in November. 

January 2018. Pupils had findrasied enough to sponosr a child from Malawi. The recipient was Four-year old Fanny Thwali who has recieved uniform, stationery and equipment for her first year at school. 

January 2018. Cygnus class were the first class where all pupils have gaiend thier bronze award. Well done Cygnus! They will received a class reward.
