All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how this is being used and the impact of the funding.

All members of staff and governors accept responsibility for socially disadvantaged pupils and are committed to meeting their pastoral, social and academic needs. Sawtry Junior Academy is committed to “narrowing the gap” between these vulnerable pupils and all pupils nationally and the pupil premium grant supports this work. We recognise that not all pupils who are socially disadvantaged are registered or qualify for free school meals and funding is allocated to support all pupils or group of pupils that the academy recognises as being socially disadvantaged. Mrs Dear, is our named Pupil Premium champion and alongside Miss Warren works with students, academy councillors, the senior leadership team, parents and staff to ensure the needs of Pupil Premium students are being met.
Reporting pupil premium
- The Principal is responsible for reporting to the Academy councillor and the Academy councillors are responsible for reporting to parents.
- Academy councillors report to parents via the school website (see below).
- In addition, the Academy's Pupil premium champion and the Senior leadership team, collate and analyse data about pupil premium cohorts and this is used to set new targets and draw up Action Plans for meeting these targets.
