Mrs Dear is our SENCo and a member of the Senior leadership team. She works with families, all staff, academy councillors and pupils to ensure that all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities have their needs met. Mrs Dear is supported in her role by the CMAT executive director of SEND, Mary Raynor.
This enables us to identify and offer specific support for all of our SEND children at the level which helps them to make progress from their starting points. We use a variety of teaching styles and differentiation, to ensure that all children can access learning in the classroom.
Where children have individual plans they are delivered in a way to ensure they understand the relevance and purpose of learning activities and experience levels of progress that bring feelings of success and achievement.
