Governance
Our Academy Council meets in full once per half term with each Academy champion also meeting and visiting approximately once per term to focus in detail on their champion area. Our councillors also regularly visit the academy and are often in attendance at our parent consultations and wider academy events.

Chair: Mr James Brown
James is delighted to be working with Sawtry Junior as an Academy Councillor and chairs the group. James is particularly interested in supporting leaders and teachers to thrive in their work and wants to support them so they can deliver the best education for the children of Sawtry Junior. James is our achievement and safeguarding academy champion.
James works full time for Meridian Trust as Curriculum Director of Science (Secondary), overseeing the science curriculum. As part of this role, James supports science leaders and teachers across the trust to provide high quality learning experiences that enable students to thrive.
Academy Councillor: Vasileious Grammatikaki
Vasileious is the champion for Finance, Estates and IT as well as being a parent at the school. He brings extensive experience of working in industry.
