School meals

Lunchtime is between 12pm and 1pm. Meals are eaten in the hall. Pupils are encouraged to sit with their friends, enjoy the opportunity to eat together and make quiet conversation. We aim to provide a pleasant dining experience that encourages and expects good manners. Prefects support with eating, replenishing water jugs and helping pupils to independently clear away their plates, bowls and cutlery.

Pupils can order a cooked hot meal or bring in a healthy packed lunch from home. If a pupil requires a cooked meal, they let their teacher know during morning registration.

Parents / carers need to ensure that this meal can be paid for by adding sufficient credit to their child’s MCAS school dinner account. The cost of the meal requested is then deducted. If your child is eligible for free school meals, you do not need to do this.

Our catering is provided by Caterlink. School meals cost £2.60 per day. In addition to the standard menu, Caterlink are happy to cater for pupils with specific dietary requirements, further information about this can be found on their website.
