Sawtry Junior Parent Association (JPA)

The Sawtry Junior Parent Association (JPA) aims to promote good relationships between home and the academy through a range of social and educational activities. The academy values and enjoys good relationships with parents and it is from this partnership that our common goals can be achieved in providing the best possible education for the pupils here.

The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting held in the Autumn Term. The Association is keen to develop an active programme of events throughout the year and appreciates the ideas, suggestions and support that it receives.

The JPA in an invaluable part of our Academy and provides fundraising to the school as well as community social events that benefit the children. Recently the JPA have fundraised to provide 20 IPADs on a secure trolley and for exciting new playground markings and fitness trails.  Social events have included our discos, film nights, Christmas and Summer Fayres. Funds are also used to subsidise some of our curriculum enrichment activities. Without this, many would be unable to go ahead.

The current committee are a hardworking, friendly and enthusiastic group of parents and staff who have some lovely ideas for future events. They meet once per half term to organise and plan upcoming events and activities.

Our JPA currently are seeking new members in order to continue to support pupils with enrichment oppruttnies or equipment and to be able to cotinue to put on evetns for the school community.

The Hamper raffle was extremely well supported and contributed to the JPA raising over £1300 in their first few weeks.
